PIP Marketing, Signs & Print in Greenville, NC is where my professional design career started and where I fell completely in love with the physical side of design. As a Graphic Designer at PIP, I designed and produced print and marketing materials for local and regional clients across Eastern NC. PIP is a full-service print shop with over 50 years of national history. Printing, signs, marketing, and design all live under one roof. Working there meant understanding not just how things look, but also how they're made. It’s experience that is absolutely priceless to me, and shapes how I work to this day.
THE BRIEF
Design for real clients — businesses, nonprofits, local organizations — who needed brochures, business cards, direct mail, signage, and marketing collateral that actually worked. Fast turnaround, tight budgets, high standards. A design education you can't get in a classroom.
PRINT AND LAYOUT
Business cards, brochures, direct mail, signage, forms, promotional materials — the full range of print and marketing collateral PIP's client base needed, designed and production-ready from my desk to the press floor.
Working inside a print environment meant learning prepress, color proofing, and file prep. I developed a deep, tactile understanding of what it actually means for a design to exist in the world and had the best time learning!
