North Carolina Folk Fest needed a brand identity as layered and alive as the festival itself — one that could hold music, food, dance, and craft under one roof without flattening any of it. The challenge wasn't just designing a logo. It was finding a visual language that felt rooted in tradition while welcoming everyone to the table.

When Exploring Birdsong shared a call for a designer with an architectural illustration style, it felt strangely meant for me. As a longtime fan of the band, and as an illustrator who has created many custom house portraits over the years, the opportunity to contribute to their world felt especially meaningful.
